Director's Statement:

"When I first read 'Eurydice,' I was immediately captivated by the sheer beauty of its poetic language. Sarah Ruhl masterfully reimagines the age-old myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, offering a profound and entirely new perspective as we navigate the world through Eurydice's eyes. What I find most captivating about this play are the timeless themes it explores: love, loss, the art of letting go, and the enigmatic realm of the afterlife. Taking the helm of this project has been a personal journey for me, as Eurydice delves deep into the complexities of moving forward, relinquishing our hold on the past, and embracing the uncertain future. It's a theme I personally resonate with because, like many, I have found solace in clutching onto the familiar, even when I know I should release my grip. It's this very struggle between the known and the unknown that infuses the play with a sense of universality, inviting us all to ponder our own attachments and the bittersweet beauty of letting go."
